Celebrating 40 years of Special Olympics in Great Britain, the Anniversary Games were held from 9th to 13th August at the University of Stirling. On Thursday 9th August six of our athletes will travel to Stirling for four days competition in the Special Olympics Anniversary Games. Southport College Sports Hall is then closed for three weeks for student registration.

Three of our footballers took part in a Special Olympics Regional 7 a side football event today. Together with athletes from Widnes and Ellesmere Port they have been selected to represent the North West at the National Summer Games in August.
Shoppers at Southport Asda were able to use their green tokens to vote for us between October and December. Although we didn't get the most tokens Asda still gave us £200 to help our athletes competing in the 2017 National Special Olympics in Sheffield.
